It is smart, in my opinion, to stay away from anything called smart these days. I mean, how many times do you have to be fooled before you become skeptical?
China serves as the prime example of 15 minute cities aka SMART cities but it is spreading around the world. But we need to be smarter. Just look at the lockdowns in China and the total control the Chinese government has over every citizen down to the tiniest detail. Do not allow the same electronic prison to be built around us in the USA.
Yes! It CAN happen here but not if we recognized the signs. It is usually crafted in attractive language like no child left behind, social media surveillance (for combatting the new “infodemic”) and the internet of things — and you get spell check, which is always loads of fun. Plus look at all the convenience and security (and surveillance and control) this tracking and connectivity will provide us.
After 3 years of all the lies you have been told by these leaders do you actually believe anything they are trying to sell you? I don’t.
Just say NO!!!
